Autumn is my favorite time of the year

Cardigans, jackets and scarves are some of my favorite wardrobe staples and can best be worn in the fall in Texas or anytime in San Francisco if you're lucky enough to live there. This year I'm especially fond of all the fabulous fall colors seen in the latest issues of the J.Crew catalog and hope to get my hands on a few items from there after the baby comes. This year, the plum purple is a trendsetter in my opinion as well as the poppy reds and burnt orange shades. Other reasons I love fall, besides just fashion, is the brisk cool air, the clean smell of the outdoors, the beautiful sunsets with endless horizon lines and the fact that my potted flowers have never looked so pretty. When you live in Texas, you also appreciate making it through another hot summer (could be a great title for my first movie). It's also the onset of changing leaves, my birthday month, Thanksgiving dinner with family, Starbucks pumpkin spice lattes (yes, I drink coffee towards the end of the year) and the lead in to the beauty of the Christmas season that help make the last months of the year so special. I hope you too can enjoy this lovely time.
