Baby Chang is almost here!

Our first baby Chang is about to arrive. Due date is this Friday, the 24th. We shall see what happens. Along with getting cute baby clothes and baby essentials comes the need to "nest". I read about this phenomenon in the baby books and heard about it from other women, but didn't quite know what the reality for me would be until it happened. Let's just say, our house is the cleanest it's ever been in the 3 years that we've lived here, we got a new rug for the living room cause I couldn't stand the sight of the old one, our fridge and pantry have been cleaned out and re-stocked and we have acquired a fancy new camera to take important photos of our new little one whenever he or she gets here.

Autumn is my favorite time of the year

Cardigans, jackets and scarves are some of my favorite wardrobe staples and can best be worn in the fall in Texas or anytime in San Francisco if you're lucky enough to live there. This year I'm especially fond of all the fabulous fall colors seen in the latest issues of the J.Crew catalog and hope to get my hands on a few items from there after the baby comes. This year, the plum purple is a trendsetter in my opinion as well as the poppy reds and burnt orange shades. Other reasons I love fall, besides just fashion, is the brisk cool air, the clean smell of the outdoors, the beautiful sunsets with endless horizon lines and the fact that my potted flowers have never looked so pretty. When you live in Texas, you also appreciate making it through another hot summer (could be a great title for my first movie). It's also the onset of changing leaves, my birthday month, Thanksgiving dinner with family, Starbucks pumpkin spice lattes (yes, I drink coffee towards the end of the year) and the lead in to the beauty of the Christmas season that help make the last months of the year so special.
